Virtual launch events

The ARA Show in the USA is usually the big annual event for launching new aerial work platforms, particularly from North American manufacturers. With this year’s event postponed until October and no alternative until May at the very earliest, both Skyjack and Genie are planning virtual presentations and events for later this month.

Skyjack’s SkyWorld

Skyjack is probably going the furthest with its Skyworld virtual event to be held each day on the 22nd to the 26th of February, with a new product to be unveiled each day, complete with detailed product presentations and virtual walk arounds, along with a chance to interact and listen to a number of independent speakers..
Marketing vice president Malcolm Early said: “We love seeing our customers face to face at shows, physically walking them around our machines, and showcasing a number of products all at once, so there were definitely some challenges in pivoting our trade show strategy for 2021. But with the challenges came some opportunities as well, and we realised we could open this up to a wider market than what’s typically available at a single show.”

President Ken McDougall added: “In person meetings with cross functional teams adds to the success of our traditional tradeshows, so we knew we had to include a way for those meetings to still take place throughout Skyworld Live. Using a dedicated meeting platform, and blocking Syworld Live dates for our team, we are ensuring dedicated time for our customers, the same dedication they’d receive at an in person show.”
The event will also include outside speakers such as Tony Conant of the ARA, Peter Douglas of IPAF John Peak of Capital Markets, Wells Fargo and Chris Sleight of Off-Highway Research. The winners of Skyjack’s We Rise campaign will also be announced. Register at: www.skyjack.com/skyworld-live

Genie Virtual Show

Genie will hold its virtual event on February 26th with in depth virtual product walkarounds and updates from the Genie team. The company will also raffle off prizes Win one of several exciting live raffle prizes, including a Harley Davidson Motorcycle, a Traeger Grill, a set of Electric Mountain Bikes, and a Yamaha ATV for those attending.
