Sports Reporter JAMMU: Sainik Colony Football Club and Young Rovers Football Club won their respective matches to move into the next round of the ongoing First Maharaja Hari Singh Memorial Gold Cup Football Tournament at GGM Science College Ground, here on Thursday. In the first match of the day, Sainik Colony blanked Mussa Football Club, courtesy hat trick from Ishan Verma. Rohan Singh, Ali Khan and Kanu Singh were other scorers. Meanwhile, in other scheduled match, Young Rovers outplayed Christian Star by two goals to one. Though Christian Stars took the first lead through Kallis in the 31st minute of the game, however, star striker from Young Rovers, Rahul Sharma struck twice in the later stages of the match to turn the game around. Rahul netted the ball in the 54th and 64th minutes of the match. Today’s matches were officiated by the technical panel comprising Rakesh Kumar, Koshal Sharma, Rocky Kumar, Hilal Ahmed, Romesh Kumar and Vijay Kumar. The Fixture: AG’s XI shall meet Hero Club at 2:00 PM while Param Football Club shall meet Shaheen Football Club at 3:30 PM tomorrow.
