Rise in schools with perfect and poor results
Ahmedabad: There was a notable increase in both high-performing and poorly performing schools in the Class 12 board exams. In the science stream, the number of schools with 100% results rose from 127 to 194. However, the number of schools with less than 10% results also rose from 27 to 34.
Similarly, in the general stream, schools achieving 100% results increased significantly from 1,609 to 2,005, showing a rise of 396 schools. Yet, the number of schools with less than 10% results also went up slightly from 19 to 21, signalling a widening performance gap.

Reacting to the results, Congress spokesperson Manish Doshi criticised the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB), alleging that details of zero-result schools were deliberately omitted from the analysis. He expressed concern over the growing number of schools with less than 10% results in both science and general streams, adding that there was a sharp decline in the number of students achieving A1 and A2 grades in the science stream. Doshi urged the govt to prioritise quality education.
In response, state education minister Kuber Dindor clarified that zero-result schools have never been separately listed in previous result booklets and no data was intentionally removed.
