Day after exam, NEET candidate found dead in Hajipur hotel room

Patna: A 20-year-old NEET-UG candidate was found hanging at a hotel room in Vaishali district on Monday, with preliminary investigations suggesting suicide, a day after he sat for the test on Sunday, police said.
They added that Kuber Kumar, a resident of Hajipur's Veer Kunwar Singh Colony, appeared for the NEET-UG on Sunday at Dighi School. In the night, he left home without informing his family.
"Kuber's family reported him missing to the police on Monday. The police then tracked his cellphone location to the hotel in the town area, where they found Kuber's body hanging from a fan in room number 105 on its second floor. Kuber's belongings, including clothes, bag and wallet, were found in the room," said a police officer.
Kuber's father Ravi Shankar works in the postal department in Patna.
