Road accident claims lives of three of a family

Belagavi: A A road accident claimed the lives of three members of the same family on Monday evening near Chikkabagewadi village in Bailhongal taluk of Belagavi district. The head-on collision between two cars resulted in the death of three family members—Anees Mustafa Sayed, 25, his wife Ummeiman, 24, and their one-year-old child. Another child, injured, is being treated. The driver of the other car, Suresh Gowada Patil, son of former Savadatti MLA RV Patil, was also injured in the accident and was admitted to a private hospital in Belagavi. Two passengers in his car are currently receiving treatment at the hospital. A case was registered at the Bailhongal police station.
