New Delhi, May 5, 2025: Quess Corp Ltd., India’s No. 1 staffing company and a global leader in staffing solutions, has signed an MoU with Altstar Capital, the sponsor of Manzl, a platform offering integrated worker housing solutions, to address the persistent challenge of worker accommodation.
As part of this collaboration, structured, scalable housing facilities will be developed across key industrial hubs. They will be operated by Bluspring Enterprises Limited, the infrastructure services company recently demerged from Quess Corp.
The collaboration seeks to address one of the most overlooked yet critical aspects of India’s labour ecosystem—access to adequate and dignified living conditions for blue-collar workers. Despite their essential role in powering manufacturing, logistics, infrastructure and other sectors, the majority of frontline workers continue to live in overcrowded, poorly maintained or informal accommodations often far from worksites.
Quess, Manzl and Bluspring aim to build a structured, scalable and compliant housing framework that replaces these informal arrangements with clean secure, and well-managed accommodation.
By placing associate welfare at the centre of this model, the collaboration not only enhances the quality of life for workers but also helps employers address key operational challenges—reducing attrition, improving punctuality and boosting productivity.
In the first phase of development, Quess will explore Sriperumbudur (Tamil Nadu), Sanand (Gujarat) and Narasapura (Karnataka)—manufacturing and logistics hubs where Quess has a strong associate presence to determine the effectiveness of the initiative. These facilities will follow standardised design and safety norms with dedicated formats for male and female workers and will be capable of scaling with demand.
Key features of the collaboration:
- Built-to-suit accommodation: Facilities developed to meet specific associate needs with clear standards for room size, hygiene, lighting and safety.
- Integrated service delivery: Manzl oversees land acquisition, design and development; Bluspring manages maintenance, food services, security and utilities.
- Community-first infrastructure: Thoughtfully designed spaces, including recreation zones, dining facilities, healthcare access and common areas.
- Scalable, future-ready model: The master framework allows expansion across multiple geographies in line with business and workforce growth.
This MoU represents a meaningful step towards addressing India’s industrial infrastructure gaps—particularly in emerging Tier 2 and Tier 3 locations where economic activity is rising, but support systems often lags. Quess and its partners aim to set a new benchmark for how industry can build not just livelihoods but holistic living environments for India’s workforce.
“At Quess, our workforce is our strength and our commitment to their welfare goes far beyond the workplace. We recognise that living conditions have a direct impact on health, morale and productivity,” said Guruprasad Srinivasan, CEO, Quess Corp. “With this initiative, we are solving a long-standing issue at scale—one that affects not just our associates but also our clients who depend on reliable manpower to run their businesses. This partnership represents a step change in how the industry thinks about associate well-being. It’s not just about access to jobs; it’s about access to a better quality of life.”
Rohit George, Co-founder, Altstar Capital and Manzl, said, “Everyday, millions of workers leave behind their homes and families in search of better opportunities. But what they find at the end of that journey is often far from ideal.” Workers end up in “cramped, unhygienic and unsafe living spaces—places that were never meant to house people with dignity. Long commutes eat away at their time and energy. Meals are inconsistent—both in quality and availability”.
Besides, “transport is unreliable, and access to even basic healthcare is uncertain at best. This isn’t just a housing problem. It’s a quality of life problem. And it’’s one we are here to solve”. Kamal Pal Hoda, CEO, Bluspring Enterprises, said, “Bluspring’s mission is to enhance the everyday experience of India’s frontline workforce. In this partnership, we bring operational expertise to ensure that each facility not only meets high service standards but also creates a welcoming, dependable environment for residents.”
This is about “humanising infrastructure—ensuring that every associate feels secure, supported, and respected in the place they call home.”
