Chhapra: Saran administration has taken steps for making life of patients with filariasis easy and honourable. On Sunday, 25 such patients were provided kits of MMDP (morbidity management and disability prevention), which include cleaning medicines, antiseptic cream, towels, soaps, mugs, pots, and slippers.
Dr Rakesh Kumar Gupta, in charge of primary health centre, Revilganj, said that the regular cleaning of the organs affected with filariasis is an essential as it prevents spread of the infection. He said that with the help of patient stakeholder platforms, he as selected five patients to provide disability certificate from the health department. The purpose of this certificate is to provide them benefits of govt social security schemes, he said.
On Sunday, five patient stakeholder platforms were formed at different health and wellness centers in Revilganj block.
