1,773 write NEET in Ramanathapuram

  As many as 1,773 candidates appeared for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test in five centres in the district on Sunday. 

The exam, which is conducted as an eligibility test to secure admission to undergraduate medical and dental programmes, was attended by 1,773 candidates.

As per records, 236 candidates were allotted Ramanathapuram Anna University, 360 were allotted Sethupathi Government Arts College, 360 were allotted Ramanathapuram Government Arts College for Women, 600 were allotted Paramakudi Government Arts College and 288 in Kendriya Vidyalaya in Mandapam.  

While 1,844 candidates were registered for the examination, 71 candidates were absent.   

DINDIGUL 

In Dindigul district, 2,902 candidates took the NEET in seven exam centres.  

Of the 3023 candidates – 987 boys and 2,036 girls, 2902- 943 boys and 1,957 girls were present for the examination.  121 candidates were absent.  

Collector S. Saravanan inspected the centres.

Virudhunagar

In Virudhunagar district, 134 students of the 3,012 candidates, who were given hall-tickets for the UG NEET absented themselves.

A total of 914 boys and 1,964 girls appeared the for examination held at six centres.
