Gold ornaments to the extent of 25 sovereigns and ₹50,000 in cash were found stolen from a locked house at Kuniamuthur in Coimbatore city.
The complaint lodged by M Mohana Krishnan, 35, of Annama Naicker Street, said he had just returned from a trip when he found the rear window of his house broken open, and valuables and cash were found missing.
The police have lifted fingerprints from the scene of crime, and have registered a case.
