The xiaomi smart pen looks like Gen 1 not Gen 2 . Have DM'd OP but model number matches gen 1

My friend's mom was in the hospital for the last 1 month, and he wasn't able to pick up the laptop from @Velociraptor. and when he finally got time and was able to pick it then this is the response I got





I never backed from the deal; if he had any problem, he could have asked for the entire amount upfront.

His response* seems justified if what he says is true. I would not have tolerated this kind of ghosting even if someone's parent were in hospital. A whatsapp message takes 30 seconds to be typed and sent. Something like "Hey, Sorry I won't be able to do the deal for the next xyz days/weeks, Can you hold the item for me?" would have resolved all parties time and effort.

I don't know why OP didn't just do the deal with the other guy if he was tired of waiting for your friend though. Also since there was no advance payment involved, OP can change the price to whatever they want.

I have paid 1500 as an advance payment to him, and mentioned my friend is occupied with his family




He is simply backing out of the deal we agreed after accepting the token money. Forgot about the deal he even didn't mentioned about cancelling a deal and returning money as he is fed up

My bad I missed the line that said about the advance thing.
Then he should keep his promise or return the advance. Keeping the advance will be a scummy thing to do considering your friend is still willing to do the deal.
BTW why did you become the middleman here. Not blaming you or anything just curious because it seems like a headache without any benefits considering you were communicating on behalf of your friend. Should have just given your friend's number and had him take care of things. This deal would have been considered "sold outside forum" this way.

p.s. I don't know if its allowed or not but just to be safe maybe remove the part/image which shows his full name and number. Anyone outside of this forum can also see this.

I am more pissed with the fact he quoted 8k for the laptop now he wants 8.5k. This is simple blackmail after you have received the token amount. Can something be done here?
