Man held under POCSO Act

The police have arrested a man under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act for sexually misbehaving with a minor girl.

Police said Anantha Selvan, 30, of Kattapuli under Vickramasingapuram police station limits sexually misbehaved with a minor girl. Based on a complaint from the victim’s parents, the Ambasamudram All Women Police arrested him on Wednesday under the POCSO Act.

After being produced in the court, Anantha Selvan was remanded in judicial custody.
