The Hyderabad district administration has finalised all arrangements for the smooth and transparent conduct of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) - Undergraduate (UG) scheduled for Sunday (May 4, 2025). The district collector Anudeep Durishetty has directed officials to ensure robust infrastructure, traffic coordination, and medical support across the 62 designated exam centres in the district, where 26,609 candidates are expected to appear.
At a coordination meeting with centre superintendents, bank officials, and the city police on Tuesday (April 29, 2025), the collector highlighted the need for strict adherence to protocols and timely execution of duties. He instructed all centre superintendents to conduct prior inspections of their venues and report any gaps.
Exam on May 4
The exam will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on May 4. The candidates will not be allowed to enter the centres after 1:30 p.m. and are advised to reach early to avoid traffic delays. Special RTC bus services would operate along the exam centre routes from morning till the exam concludes, ensuring accessible public transport, as per a press release.
To ensure a hassle-free experience, special arrangements have been made for differently-abled candidates, including access to wheelchairs and low-floor buses. All centres will have uninterrupted power supply, drinking water, and sanitation facilities. Medical teams would be stationed, ORS packets would be stocked at every location to tackle heat-related concerns.
Strict measures
Strict measures would be enforced at all centres. The use of smartwatches, mobile phones, or any electronic devices by candidates is strictly prohibited. Adequate police personnel would be deployed while transporting question paper and for crowd management.
The collector commended the district’s past record of conducting examinations smoothly and urged all departments to maintain the same standards this year.
