Special drive against drunk driving organised in Bengaluru

The Bengaluru Traffic Police have booked 668 motorists for driving drunk during a special drive carried out across the city in the last week.

According to an official release, as many as 43,253 vehicles have been checked. The police have also booked 185 motorists who were found overspeeding and slapped a fine of ₹1,89,000 on them.

The special drive aimed to curb drunken driving and overspeeding to ensure road safety in the city. This drive will continue, M.N. Anucheth, Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, said.
