Three youths arrested for gang-rape of 13-year-old

Lucknow: A 13-year-old minor girl was allegedly gang-raped by three youths while she was coming back from an event on Saturday late night in Gosaiganj area.
"While she was returning home, three youths, all residents of Jaukhandi, caught the girl around 2.30 am, took her to a pickup, and gang-raped her," police said.
"After managing to escape from the clutches of the accused, the survivor reached home and informed her family about the incident. Following this, the survivor's mother submitted a written complaint at the Gosaiganj police station," said station head officer (SHO), Brijesh Kumar Tripathi.
Following this, an FIR under gang rape and POCSO was registered against the three accused, and they were arrested the same day.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South, Nipun Agarwal, said, "A field unit has been sent for evidence collection, and necessary legal action is being taken."
