Student dies in swimming pool

Koppal: A 17-year-old student from Indaragi village lost his life after hitting his head on the bottom surface while diving into a swimming pool.
The incident occurred on Sunday when Indresh and his friends visited the district stadium's pool to enjoy their holiday. The boy dived from the diving board and struck his head on the bottom of the pool.
When he failed to resurface after the dive, his friends alerted the pool staff, who transported him to the district hospital, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival. A case was filed at Koppal city police station.
