Students should develop a focused approach and entrepreneurial mindset to succeed, said Navas Meeran, chairman, Meeran Group, at the graduation ceremony at Kumaraguru Institutions in Coimbatore on Sunday.

He urged the students to concentrate on one or two specific aims. Maintaining a focused approach is essential in an era where technology rapidly changes and markets are driven by niche services. Unlike three or four decades ago, today’s environment demands sharper and more adaptive thinking. Opportunities are abundant but favour those who have the courage to immerse themselves deeply in their fields, he said.

Students should also develop products and make course corrections as they proceed, rather than fearing failure. He stressed the importance of feedback in refining innovations, products, and services. Highlighting the role of technology, he said that when used properly, artificial intelligence can boost productivity up to three times.

A total of 728 students received their degrees during the ceremony, across disciplines such as commerce, management, arts and humanities, science, computer applications, and sports sciences.
