84 unregistered schools in city likely to face education department action in Gurgaon
Gurgaon: The education department intensified its crackdown on unrecognised schools in the city and identified 84 in a drive earlier this month. Officials said the schools will be reviewed for potential action. Some schools are Shri Ganesh Vidya Mandir School, Ayasha Public School, Bal Bharti Public School, Shiv Public School, Kalyan Global School, and Mamta School.
The move followed a complaint received during a public grievance meeting on Feb 4 and the subsequent closure of Scholars Glory Public School near Sohna bus stand. It was found to be operating without proper accreditation, said block education officer Sumita Rangi. A report has been sent to the district commissioner for further action.

On April 9, the immediate closure of Shri Chaitanya Techno School in Sector 73 was ordered as it was operating without registration. After a complaint by one of the student's parents, block education officer Sudesh Raghav inspected the school on March 27 and April 9.
