DM finds warns absent staff of stern action

Kanpur: As many as 22 employees of Kanpur collectorate were found absent on Friday when district magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh reached there and summoned the attendance register. Though a few employees arrived late, the DM not only reprimanded them but also sought explanation from them. He warned that if their explanation was not found satisfactory, action would be taken against them. The DM reached the collectorate in the morning to hear complaints of the public. He first asked the ADM (Civil Supplies) to check the attendance register of the collectorate employees. Twenty-two employees were found absent. The DM directed the ADM to seek explanation from all absentees . tnn
