Bengaluru Metro operations from 3.30am for tomorrow’s 10k run
Bengaluru: BMRCL announced early-morning train services Sunday for the benefit of those participating in the 17th edition of TCS World 10K run.
Metro services on that day will start at 3.30am, three-and-a-half hours ahead of the usual start time of 7am on Sundays.

"Trains from all four Metro terminals and Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station (Majestic) will run at a 12-minute frequency during this extended period. While this initiative aims to provide convenient transportation, it will also be an incentive for individuals to participate in the marathon in large numbers and promote a healthier and more integrated community," BMRCL said in a release.
Roads closed
Police have closed the following roads for traffic from 5am to 10am Sunday in view of the run: St John's Road (Dickenson Road to Veerapalli Street); Kamaraj Road (Cubbon Road to Dickenson Junction); Dickenson Road, (Manipal Centre Junction to Webbs Junction and Ulsoor Road to Dobhi Ghat); Kasturba Road (Hudson Junction to Siddalingaiah Junction); Siddalingaiah Circle to Queens Circle (west direction); Queens Road; BR Ambedkar Road (east direction), Cubbon Road (south direction), MG Road (north direction) and inside Cubbon Park.
