Tripura driver solemnises wife’s wedding with her lover

Agartala: A 38-year-old old driver from Tripura solemnised the marriage ceremony of his wife with her paramour at Birchandra Manu inr south Tripura on Wednesday, reports Biswendu Bhattacharjee.
Nayan Saha, recognising his wife's illicit relationship, took the step to marry her off to a 32-year-old neighbour who is a vegetable vendor.
Police didn't register any case as both parties are adults and there was no complaint from either side. However, local police were deployed in the locality until the occasion was over, apprehending social chaos.
According to a report, Nayan married the woman seven years ago and she is now the mother of two children, aged six and three. Allegedly, their relationship became strained after her second child was born.
"She was subjected to harassment by her in-laws and was sometimes physically tortured. Since her parental relatives are not well-off, she didn't get support. In her difficult situations, the vegetable vendor stood by her on several occasions, which gradually turned into a love affair," a neighbour said.
The wife was caught red-handed with her lover by her husband a few days back and he decided to solemnise their marriage.
