Aizawl: With the alleged abduction of member of district council Tuturu Singh, who switched allegiance from the Zoram People's Movement to
BJP during heated political upheaval in the Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) on Wednesday night by ZPM leaders, the turn of events in LADC has become more complicated.
BJP leaders in Aizawl accused the ZPM of kidnapping Singh near south Mizoram's Lunglei town while he was proceeding towards the state capital. President of BJP state unit Vanlalhmuaka said Singh was stopped by three vehicles parked on the roadside near Sazaikawn, Lunglei, and was then allegedly ‘forced to board these unknown vehicles and was driven towards Lawngtlai town against his will'.
Singh was the only member of the ULP led by its leader N Zangura of BJP who was absent, when they met state governor Gen VK Singh at the Raj Bhavan on Wednesday and staked claim to form the next executive committee in the LADC.
