PG results: PU girls secure top position in 25 out of 40 subjects

Patna: Patna University (PU) girls once again outsmarted boys by securing top positions in as many as 25 out of 40 subjects in the 2024 postgraduate examinations. The provisional list of toppers was announced by PU examination controller Shyamal Kishore on Friday. All the toppers will be awarded gold medals at the next convocation of PU likely to be held towards the end of this month, said university sources.
In humanities, Santosh Kumar topped Hindi, Prachi Pankaj English, Ritu Kashyap Sanskrit, Avinash Kumar Mandal Maithili, Fulata Barman Bengali, Mohd Kabatulaha Arabic, Mohd Irfan Urdu, Bushra Imam philosophy, Vandana Kumari music and Princemita Ray MJMC.
In social sciences, Kajal Kumari topped history, Ayush Ranjan political science, Anita Kumari home science, Sushmita Bharadwaz ancient Indian history and archaeology, Sadaf Neshar sociology, Shilpi Kumari economics, Pragya Shree geography, Mohd Amzad Alam rural studies, Neelam Kumari social work, Fatma Naaz women's studies, Sandip Kumar library and information science, while Priya Thakur and Anjali Choudhary were joint toppers of psychology.
In science subjects, Amisha topped physics, Kumari Nisha chemistry, Shivani Rani zoology, Shatakshi Prakhar botany, Rahul Kumar geology, Ritik Kumar mathematics, Pratyush Priyadarshi statistics, Priya Ranjan biochemistry, Ravi Yadav biotechnology, Mrinal Raj environmental science and Saloni Kumari MCA.
Garima Yadav is the commerce topper, while Dinesh Jayaswal has topped MBA, Pawan law and Kanishka Awasthi education.
