After a brief conversation, Hardik Pandya left to warm up. A subsequent attempt by Jayawardene to speak with him was met with an unresponsive Pandya.

The Mumbai Indians secured their fourth straight win, propelling them from sixth to third position in the league standings. Their victory followed a relatively low Sunrisers Hyderabad total of 143/8, a score deemed insufficient given the favorable batting conditions.
