Man (38) spikes drink & stabs sister-in-law, arrested in Ghaziabad
Ghaziabad: A 38-year-old man was arrested for allegedly attempting to murder his sister-in-law, who was in a relationship with him, and they were living together away from the family.
The incident occurred in Tronica City. Cops were alerted by the locals after they found an injured woman, bleeding profusely, lying near Sapna roundabout.
Upon investigation, police identified the victim as Mehbooba Begum (25) of Bihar's Gorkha Patesari village. A case was filed under section 109 of BNS (attempted murder) against the woman's live-in partner, Mohammad Azad of Bihar.
Azad revealed to police that he was married to Saima Khatun in 2012 and has four children. "Mehbooba Begum is the youngest sister of my wife. Ever since I got married, I started liking Begum. In 2022, I ran away with her and settled in Mumbai," he said. "She started pressuring me for marriage. We used to quarrel often. When I came to Delhi to attend a function, I found this a good opportunity to get rid of her," the accused said.
