Man dies by suicide at private hospital in Salem

A 60-year-old man died by suicide at a private hospital in Salem city on Wednesday.

The police identified the deceased as Paraman, who ran a lorry workshop in Sankari. He was unwell for the past few months and was undergoing treatment at a hospital near the Town Railway Station. On Wednesday, Paraman visited the hospital and consulted with doctors. Later, he ended his life.

His body was sent to the Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College and Hospital for autopsy. The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his decision.
