3 drug peddlers held, ganja and cash seized in Prayagraj

Prayagraj: Handia police on Wednesday claimed to have busted an inter-district racket involved in drug peddling and arrested its three members, including Govinda (22), Jeet Bahadur alias Ajeet (37), and Pankaj Jaiswal (38), residents of Imamganj and Baraut, respectively. Cops also seized 25.9 kg of illegal ganja and Rs 13.46 lakh cash from their possession.
The arrest was made near Madhopur Road while they were planning to deliver the consignment. The drug peddlers used to bring illegal drugs from Mirzapur and later supply them to neighbouring districts. A case has been registered in this connection.
