Durvank clinches two table tennis titles in Kanpur

Kanpur: Durvank secured under-11 and under-13 singles titles in the Stag Global Table Tennis tournament, held at multipurpose hall of Green Park on Wednesday.
In the under-11 years category, he outplayed Ahlan S in straight sets. Earlier in the semi-finals, he comfortably defeated Adway Mishra, while Ahlan S beat Shubh Tiwari. Durvank had also defeated Vedansh Pandey in the quarter-finals.
In the under-13 years boys' group, Durvank overcame Manas Poptani after dropping the first set, recovering in the following sets to win the match. In the semi-finals, he beat Aparajit Singh.
Devarshika Shukla captured the under-11 girls' singles title by defeating Preksha Shukla. In the semi-finals, Devarshika overcame Yuvika Somani while Preksha Tiwari outplayed Pankhuri.
Preksha Tiwari claimed the under-13 girls'' singles title with a well-contested five-set win over Devarshika. Earlier, in the semi-finals, Preksha beat Aditri Banerji and Devarshika Shukla humbled Aradhya Singh.
