Mumbai – Zeeshan Siddique son of slain politician Baba Siddique, has received a chilling death threat warning he would be “killed like your father,” along with a demand for ₹10 crore. The threat, allegedly sent via email, was signed in the name of the underworld outfit ‘D Company’.
Zeeshan confirmed the incident, stating, “I received an email that mentioned a threat to my life and a demand for ₹10 crore. The mail ended with a reference to D Company. I have submitted all details to the police, and my statement has been recorded.”
The Mumbai Police have launched a full investigation and are working to trace the origin of the threat. Security around Zeeshan and his family has been tightened.
This development comes shortly after Baba Siddique’s assassination on October 12, 2024. The former Maharashtra minister was shot dead by three assailants near Zeeshan’s office in the Nirmal Nagar area of Bandra. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang later claimed responsibility for the killing. Two of the attackers have been arrested, while one remains at large.
Zeeshan’s threat follows a string of high-profile cases involving celebrity security in Mumbai. Actor Salman Khan has also received repeated threats, including a recent message demanding ₹5 crore. In April, gunshots were fired outside his Bandra home, intensifying fears of organized criminal activity targeting public figures.
The back-to-back incidents have sparked urgent calls for enhanced protection and a crackdown on extortion threats in Mumbai. Police continue to investigate all leads in the case.
