The Nagercoil Principal Sub Court has awarded Killiyoor Assembly Congress MLA S. Rajesh Kumar along with two others to three months of imprisonment for allegedly preventing the government officials from performing their duties in 2014.

According to prosecution, Joseph, along with his son Pauldurai and daughter-in-law Subitha, had reportedly encroached on “Kalam Poramboke” land for the construction of their house.

Following a complaint, the revenue officials of Vilavancode taluk conducted an inspection and confirmed the illegal occupation. Notices were sent to remove encroachments.
