Tea seller found dead near canal in Araria
Araria: A 40-year-old tea seller was found dead with his throat slit with a sharp-edged weapon near a canal under Town police station in Araria district on Monday morning. The deceased was identified as Mohd Kalam, a resident of Islam Nagar in Araria town.
A team of the town police led by assistant superintendent of police (ASP), Ram Pukar Singh, visited the spot and sent the body to sadar hospital for postmortem. Police have recovered a sharp knife, which was kept in the hand of the deceased.
"Dishonesty in money transactions or rivalry appears to be the cause of infighting, leading to the death of Mohd Kalam. He was killed using a sharp-edged knife cutting his vocal cord near the neck," the police officer said.
