Mayor suffers leg fracture after tripping at Para event

Lucknow: Mayor Sushma Kharkwal sustained a leg injury during a Jan Samvad programme in Para on Saturday after tripping over a mat at the venue.
Despite the fall, she remained at the event and later exited limping. Subsequently, she was taken to Balrampur Hospital, where doctors confirmed a leg fracture and applied a plaster cast. She was advised to rest for 10 days.
The mayor assured staff to resume work soon. Senior officials and local leaders visited her to extend their wishes for a speedy recovery.
