Couple booked for duping Navi Mumbai man of Rs 1.25 crore in bank auction scam

A Thane couple faces charges for allegedly swindling a Navi Mumbai draftsman out of ₹1.25 crore over five years. Posing as a bank HR employee, the woman promised subsidized gold, flats, and vehicles from bank auctions. She manipulated the victim into opening accounts and transferring funds for supposed investments and taxes.
