The weather in Hyderabad on Friday (April 18, 2025) which was dominated by harsh sun till late afternoon, changed as heavy rains lashed parts of the city in the evening. This may continue till the night in the city and its neighborhood as India Meteorological Department issued an alert cautioning of light to moderate rain and light thunderstorm with maximum surface wind speed between 41-61 kmph at isolated places in Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Nagarkurnool districts from 5.20 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
People returning from offices and commuting to other places on two-wheelers were caught unaware and rushed to stand under a shelter as rains lashed the city.
