Deoghar youth found hanging

Dumka: Deoghar police on Thursday recovered the body of a 24-year-old youth, who was found hanging from a tree at Giddhapathar village.
The deceased was identified as Anjan Kumar Mandal of Giddhapathar . He worked in a private shop dealing in batteries. "The miscreants murdered my brother to grab the disputed land and hanged his body from the tree to make it look like suicide," Vikas Kumar Mandal told police.
"It was after much persuasion that the FIR about the opposite party's attempt to grab the land was lodged earlier, but with no proper response," Vikas added.
DSP Laxman Prasad said the case was being investigated and the body was handed over to the family members after the postmortem at the Deoghar Sadar Hospital. "The cause of the death can be ascertained by the postmortem report and we will take up the investigation accordingly," the DSP told TOI, adding that the process for lodging an FIR in the death was on.
