These four were selected from a total of 15 students who attended the Summer Sailing Camp Talent Hunt, organised by the Sailing Club in Phalguni (Gurupura) River near Kuloor bridge, Mangaluru, between April 5 and 14. Team coach J. Yashwanth Gowda said this was the first time a Karnataka team would participate in the Youth Nationals event.

The club thanked the Department of Youth Services and Sports and CodeCraft Technologies for their support.
