Madurai city police to auction 317 vehicles on April 25

Madurai city police would auction 317 vehicles that were seized by the police but not claimed by owners on April 25.

A statement said that 305 two-wheelers, 11 three-wheelers and one four-wheeler have been nationalised and kept at the Armed Reserve Ground.

The value for the vehicles in “as is” condition has been fixed.

Persons interested to participate in the auction should make the earnest money deposit between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on April 23 in cash - ₹2,000 for two-wheelers and ₹5,000 for other vehicles.

Those who pay the EMD can participate in the auction to be conducted by the auction committee.

Successful bidders will have to pay the bidding amount along with GST. Inspection of the vehicles can be done between April 22 and 24.
