Four held in Palamu for robbing photographer
Daltonganj: Four persons were arrested on charges of robbing a professional photographer by posing as clients, police said.
The arrested were identified as Sushil, Chunu, Rahul, and Rajan, all residents of Tarhassi police station limits. They were remanded to judicial custody on Tuesday, police added.
The officer in-charge of the Panki police station, Rajesh Ranjan, said, "The photographer, identified as Manoj Kumar, was booked online under the pretext of capturing photos and videos of a marriage ceremony agianst a payment of Rs 500. On April 13, four persons gave hin a lift in a luxury car under the garb of going to a temple at Chandwa in Latehar district to attend a marriage ceremony. But when the car reached a desolate road at Karee Matee in Palamu district, the accused robbed the photographer of all his belongings, including high-end cameras and phones, and deserted him. An FIR was lodged on April 14. The looted video and still cameras, phones, besides the car used in the crime were seized by police from the possession of the accused."
