Gandhinagar: Paying homage to Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution, on his 134th birth anniversary, CM Bhupendra Patel remarked that Ambedkar's life exemplifies an enduring inspiration of perseverance and accomplishment. The CM elaborated that his life demonstrated the significance of meticulous study, contemplative reflection and social consciousness in securing one's rights.
A ceremonial programme was organised to offer floral tributes to Ambedkar's oil portrait at the podium of the assembly, with the CM, speaker Shankar Chaudhary and minister of social justice and empowerment Bhanuben Babariya in attendance.
Addressing the assembly, the CM highlighted that 2025 also marks the 75th anniversary of the Indian Constitution's adoption. Announcing a state-wide commemorative campaign honouring Ambedkar, from April 14 to April 24, the CM emphasised that the social reformer was instrumental in crafting India's Constitution, founded on principles of equality, justice and modernity for all sections of society.
He referenced Ambedkar's philosophy regarding the essential freedoms of thought, action and belief for meaningful existence and urged citizens to embody his principles while remaining committed to achieving Viksit Bharat@2047, fostering social equality, aligned with PM Modi's vision.
