New Delhi: Two men accused of the murder of a property dealer in Paschim Vihar were arrested at Lucknow airport on Sunday night, sources said. The duo have been identified as Shubham and Shokeen Khan. Delhi Police will move to seek their custody even as a manhunt was initiated to nab the other suspects in the case.
The murder was reported on April 11. The probe revealed that the four shooters involved in the killing were from Haryana and were hired by gangster Kapil Sangwan, according to police sources. Inquiry revealed that Khan was driving the Swift car used by the assailants and Suraj was seated behind him. Taranjeet, another accused, was seated in the front passenger seat and Shubham was behind him.
An officer said, "They rented the Swift car in Karol Bagh a day before the murder and checked into Hotel Apple Tree in Dwarka using fake documents." On Friday, the squad checked out around 6 am, reached Paschim Vihar, and waited for the targeted brothers to emerge from their house. They knew that the victim used a Fortuner SUV. Around 7 am, they ambushed the target and shot him dead. Meanwhile, in a social media post, Sangwan alleged the victim's association with rival gangster Mahal, attributing the shooting to this.tnn
