Congress Working Committee member and former PCC President Gidugu Rudra Raju on Sunday (April 13, 2025) said that the Congress high command’s new plan of action would strengthen District Congress Committees across Andhra Pradesh very soon.

He said that the appointment of AICC observer for each DCC was a historic decision and it would enable the party leadership to know the activities of the party at grass root level. Dr. Rudra Raju who participated in AICC crucial meeting held in Ahmadabad on April 8 and 9 spoke to The Hindu over the future strategies for the revival of the party in the State.

“The Congress Party is in the path of regaining its strength in AP and other parts of the country. The decisions taken in Ahmadabad meeting had given a new impetus for all the delegates who took part in the deliberations. AICC in-charge of AP Manickam Tagore and other top leaders will take suggestions from all senior leaders of the respective districts. The strategy finalized after the deliberations would be implemented to ensure past glory for the party in AP,” said Mr. Rudra Raju. He hoped that Congress would register significant victories in local body elections as people were not happy either with YSRCP or NDA alliance parties in the State.
