Nagpur: A major part of Vidarbha continued to reel under intense summer heat on Friday, with most cities recording maximum temperatures above 40°C. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds on April 12 for four districts — Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, Bhandara, and Gondia. No alert has been issued for April 13, though weather agencies hint at the possibility of thunderstorm activity resurfacing in isolated parts of Vidarbha on April 14.
Unlike its eastern counterparts, Nagpur district remains under the green zone for the next four days, with no weather alerts issued. Friday's brief wind activity marked the end of the short-lived yellow alert. The city is expected to continue experiencing hot and dry conditions in the coming days.
