BJP to observe Ambedkar birth anniv as Social Harmony Day

Prayagraj: The district unit of the BJP will celebrate the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar as Social Harmony Day (Samajik Samrasta Diwas).
Party spokesperson Rajesh Kesarwani's told TOI that the BJP has organised celebrations from April 13 to April 25 throughout the city.
"On the eve of the birth anniversary (April 13), a cleanliness campaign at the Dr BR Ambedkar statue park, located at the High Court, will be held. Apart from this, all the statue sites of Dr Ambedkar in the city will be cleaned, and Deep Utsav will be celebrated in the night. On April 14 the party will organise grand celebrations across the district," he said.
A series of events will be organised at all places, and party leaders and workers will pay their tributes.
The Preamble of the Constitution will be read after the programme. The topic of Congress vs BJP will be raised among the workers and common people.
Additionally, between April 15 and 25, BJP members will conduct door-to-door visits in slum areas to inform residents about the treatment of Constitution writer Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar by different political entities. The BJP has also developed a strategy to reach out to people from SC/ST communities. tnn
