Forum to hold Beary fest from April 18

Mangaluru: Karnataka Bearys Social and Cultural Forum has scheduled ‘Sauharda Beary Utsava 2025' at Karavali Utsav Ground in Mangaluru from April 18 to 20. The celebration aims to highlight the cultural heritage, unity, accomplishments and customs of the Beary community.
Retired DCP and forum president GA Bava said on Friday that the festival will provide direction to young people while celebrating diverse linguistic cultures through interactive programmes. The event, which will run from 4pm on April 18 to 7pm on April 20, will feature cultural programmes and a food festival, he said.
A job fair will be held in collaboration with Karnataka state skill development department and a university of Karnataka on April 19. More than 100 reputed companies from India and abroad will participate. Job aspirants from the coastal region may make use of the opportunity to secure placements in reputed companies. Companies from Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other Middle Eastern countries will also participate to offer job opportunities for local youth, he added.
Those who register for the job fair will receive career guidance and encouragement through a newly established job placement office; all services will be offered free of cost.
An education fair will be held on April 20 in association with over 100 expert counsellors from the Puttur Community Centre. Students will receive guidance on career paths, globally in-demand courses, competitive exam preparation and available scholarships in govt and private sectors. An entrepreneurship fair will also be held on the same day. It will feature sessions on how to manage and grow small and large businesses, policies, strategies, investments, market demands and will foster an environment to encourage innovative ideas. In addition, a free medical camp and blood donation camp will be held, he added.
