RS 25 crore for conservation of 10 historical sites in UP
Lucknow: Minister for culture and tourism Jaiveer Singh, on Thursday, said that the Uttar Pradesh govt has sanctioned Rs 24.98 crore for the conservation and extensive maintenance of ten significant historical sites across the state.
"These efforts are part of the govt's broader vision to preserve the state's cultural identity while promoting sustainable tourism," he said. Official sources said that the UPPCL has been appointed as the executing agency for these projects. They added that all necessary directives have been issued to the departments concerned to ensure the timely and effective execution of the projects.
"This initiative reaffirms the commitment of the UP government to preserving its cultural identity and transforming heritage sites into hubs of tourism and socio-economic progress," they said. tnn
