The Rachakonda Police have announced traffic diversions and a temporary liquor ban in view of the IPL-2025 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings, scheduled to be held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal on April 12.
To ensure smooth flow of traffic and minimise inconvenience to people, diversions will be in place from 4 p.m. to 11.50 p.m. in the limits of Uppal Traffic Police Station. The match is set to begin at 7.30 p.m.
As per the advisory, heavy vehicles such as lorries, dumpers, water tankers, and earth movers will not be allowed in the area during the diversion hours. Vehicles approaching Uppal via Chengicherla, Boduppal and Peerzadiguda will be diverted at HMDA Bhagyath Road, opposite the Toyota showroom, towards Nagole. Traffic from LB Nagar to Uppal via Nagole will be diverted at the Nagole Metro Station u-turn towards Chengicherla X Road. Vehicles coming from Tarnaka will be diverted at Habsiguda X Road towards Nacharam and Cherlapally. Traffic from Ramanthapur to Uppal will be redirected via Street No. 8, Metro Pillar 972 u-turn, and Uppal X Road.
People have been urged to cooperate with the traffic police and plan their travel accordingly.
