Senior BJP leader and Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar has accused the Congress of being a “true embodiment of opportunistic politics and corrupt governance”.

Strongly objecting to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s comments at the Congress Party conclave, he said that it is “shameful” to equate BJP, deeply rooted in nationalist principles and patriotism, with the British who “looted” the country.

“Congress is a sinking ship and Mr. Reddy cannot stop BJP from coming to power in Telangana with his government amassing double the public resentment within 15 months of governance,” he said on Wednesday.

Mr. Sanjay Kumar said the Chief Minister couldn’t even ensure the victory of Congress in his own district Mahbubnagar, couldn’t retain the sitting seat of Malkajgiri. lost from Kamareddy and was even defeated even in the MLC elections. Now, the party is “surrendering” another MLC seat to Majlis Party, said a press release.
