Pune | April 9, 2025: A fight broke out on a PMPML bus on Wednesday morning after a passenger was stopped from using the rear door to get off, which goes against the bus service’s rules.

The incident happened around 9:15 am on Bus No. 167A, which runs from Wagholi to Bhekrai Nagar, near Amanora Mall.

Eyewitnesses said the conductor asked the passenger to exit through the front door, as per PMPML’s policy. But the passenger refused and tried to use the rear door instead. This led to an argument between the driver and the passenger at the next stop.

Things got worse when the angry passenger allegedly threw a brick at the bus door, leading to a scuffle.

It’s still unclear whether a police complaint has been filed. PMPML officials said they will check the bus’s CCTV footage and take necessary action.
