Patna: BJP neta and Nawada MP Vivek Thakur held discussion with Danapur divisional railway manager (DRM) Jayant Kumar Choudhary and other senior railway officials at the DRM's office in Khagaul on Wednesday to review the ongoing railway projects in the region.
The discussion focused on the ongoing development of railway projects within Thakur's constituency, which included Nawada station redevelopment plan under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS). He also sought details about benefits of the recently completed track doubling work on the Kiul-Gaya (KG) route on a stretch of 124 km, which is expected to be a major boost to railway connectivity in the Nawada region, said Danapur DRM Jayant Kumar Choudhary.
Talking to reporters Thakur expressed optimism about the potential improvement the track-doubling project would bring to the local community. "The doubling of the Kiul-Gaya track will not only reduce travel time but also enhance overall train operations. This will lead to better connectivity for the people of Nawada and surrounding areas," he said.
Thakur also discussed the status of other railway projects in Nawada, ensuring that timely execution and safety standards remain a priority. Danapur DRM assured the MP that the railway administration is committed to completing these projects within the stipulated timelines and ensuring minimal disruption during ongoing station redevelopment works.
Danapur ADRM Aadhar Raj said the railways has increased speed limit of passenger trains on the KG section up to 95 km per hour from Thursday only.
