SIES Sanjeevani celebrates ‘Autism Awareness Day’
Nagpur: In commemoration of ‘World Autism Awareness Day' celebrated on April 2 every year, Sanjeevani, a dedicated remedial education centre for special students, successfully organised an Autism Awareness Rally. The a rally which started from Saraswati Vidyalaya, went through North Ambazari Road. It aimed to create the awareness about autism spectrum disorder and promote understanding and acceptance. The rally was flagged off by Dr Suresh Chari, member of South Indian Education Society (SIES).
TK Venkatesh, president of SIES, V Meenakshi, secretary, S Prabhuraman, co-ordinator, Lakshmi Srinivasan, AHM of secondary department, Resmi Umesh, HM of primary department, Veena Narayanan, in-charge of pre-primary department, Ravindra Kulkharni, Rahul Ghode, supervisors, special children of Sanjeevani, teachers, Scout and Guide students of Saraswati Vidyalaya participated in the rally. Special educator Laxmi Mungela along with Sanjeevani staff members co-ordinated with SV staff for the success of the event.
