The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has criticised the government for its poor waste management in Yanam region.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, party secretary A. Anbalagan said waste management in Yanam had been affected for the last two months due to turf-war between the present Yanam MLA and a former Minister representing the region.
The Yanam region, he said, comes directly under the administrative control of Puducherry Collectorate. However, the government has not intervened so far to address the waste management issue in the region. The administration should shed its apathy and take steps to sort out the issue, he said.
